Way2B1 strives to provide an accessible center of communication for the family ecosystem while still maintaining the privacy of its correspondents. Adding users to your platform allows for streamlined communication in a controlled and permissioned environment. To manage users, you must be an Administrator.
Adding Users
- Login to your Way2B1 instance and navigate to Way2B1 Settings, found in the dropdown menu activated by clicking on your user icon in the top right-hand corner.
- From the menu on the left-hand side, open the People panel
- Click Invite New Team Member
- Complete the Name, email address, and phone number fields
- Click Create and Invite
- Provide your new team member with a link to Getting Started on Way2B1 to set them up for success!
After inviting a user, add them to a Team. Teams are found in Way2B1 Settings under the Teams menu on the left-hand side. Using Teams allows you to manage permissions on a large scale. Instead of sharing items by adding users one by one, you can share items with entire Teams. When a user is added or removed from a Team, the permissions will update accordingly.
Troubleshooting user registration
- Is your team member not receiving the authentication text? Make sure their phone number was entered correctly in the steps above. If the problem still, persists, contact Support.
- If your team member is having trouble locating the signup email, resend the invitation:
Resetting user passwords
- In the People panel in Way2B1 Settings, select the User from the dropdown menu
- Click Send Password Reset Link
- The user will receive an email with instructions on resetting their password
Removing Users
In order to retain accurate history logs, Way2B1 has disabled deleting users outright. However, users can be blocked and will not count in the user credential count limit as stated in your contract.
- Blocked users will not be able to log-in to your Way2B1 instance
- Blocking a user will not delete any of their data or history
See the following instructions to block a user:
- In the People panel in Way2B1 Settings, select the User from the dropdown menu
- Click Deactivate User
Unblocking or Resolving Locked Users
Users can be locked out of their accounts for two reasons:
- They exceed 3 attempts at signing in with incorrect user credentials
- They are manually blocked by an Administrative user
See the following instructions to resolve a user that has been blocked or locked out of their account:
- In the People panel in Way2B1 Settings, select the User from the dropdown menu
- Click Send Password Reset Link and confirm your action in the subsequent modal
- In the case that they are manually blocked, you will see the notice (i) Blocked by Admin above the button. We strongly recommend consulting with other Administrative Users when a user has been manually blocked before unblocking them.
